Garlic lovers will love the shrimp scampi. One Brandon’s favorites is the portobello mushroom. Pro tip: get that as an appetizer. If you are with a never seafood person, they do have chicken on the menu now you can add to dishes.

Fantastic Raw Bar. Great atmosphere. About a 10-minute walk from the house.

We used to go a bit more. It is just hard for us to walk past Hooked or Scales to make it to Midtown 😀. They have a bit of a more ‘modern’ menu - dare I say more experimental? The catch here (pun definitely intended) is that they have burgers and steaks. Scales or Hooked are primarily seafood.

Ask to sit on the porch area for a great view of the boats in the harbor. If you schedule your reservation (recommended) around sunset, you can have quite the scenic meal. If you’re adventurous and just come in sans reservation, you can try the back bar. Jockeying for the next seat is somewhat of a secret game at The Mooring.

The mussels in garlic and white wine are absolutely amazing. Make sure to ask for extra bread to soak up the broth. Award winning clam chowder as well. Note, you have to site inside to get the mussels. The outdoor patio has a different menu

There is an upstairs that has sit down traditional dining. The downstairs has a fantastic raw bar with limited seating. If you happen to be here on a Tuesday they have Happy Hour prices for $1.00 per oyster and $1.50 for jumbo shrimp.

Ok, so this is controversial because there have been many different iterations of The Reef over the years. Now under new management (and new Chef), they may have found their footing. I’m writing this on 08/23/25 and Danielle and I have been once for apps - after sort of saying we’d never go back. We were presently surprised.
The vibe and scenery - surrounded by boats - and many of them Hinckley Yachts - can’t be beat. We will try to go soon to give a bit more of a robust + accurate opinion.
They generally have some form of live music.
Some close friends went recently and had mixed reviews on the food.
I would go for drinks and maybe try another spot listed until we can go and experience the food ourselves.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
